Montevideo was a nice mid-sized city that upon first glance seemed vibrant. After a day I noticed that nobody in this town smiled. They wear dark clothes and walk around in a state of sadness. I confirmed this with our tour guide. He told me this is the only city in South America that he’s been to where the people seemed this depressed.

There was one happy person. The kid working at the McDonalds was the best employee I’d ever seen at that fast food chain. Why was I eating breakfast at McDonalds? Because the people in South America tend to sleep in a little later. McDonalds was the only breakfast place open before 9 AM. This is a city of 1.5 million people.
While in Montevideo we did a City Tour, visited a mall, did a long walk and in the evening listened to some kids perform tango music at a restaurant. And I did see Tits at the mall.
